Fire destroys house on Rawhide Road|[02/28/08]

A northern Warren County home was destroyed by fire early this morning.

At about 1:30 a.m., a fire was reported at 895 Rawhide Road, the home of Tony Keen. Warren County volunteer fire coordinator Kelly Worthy said the home was engulfed by flames upon the arrival of Northeast and Culkin volunteer fire units. The crews were on scene for about four hours, Worthy said.

Keen, the only person at the home, made it out safely after calling 911, Worthy said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Computer, GPS system missing in countyA GPS system, a laptop computer and a bottle of liquor were the missing items in two burglaries reported to the Warren County Sheriff’s Department Wednesday.

At 8:11 a.m., a Garmin GPS system valued at $280 was reported stolen from a vehicle in parked the 500 block of Fairways Drive.

A Dell laptop computer and a one-gallon bottle of Crown Royal were reported missing from residence in the 4300 block of Mount Alban Road at 8:08 a.m. The total value was listed at $1,560.
