Four injured in two-car wreck on U.S. 61 South|[03/16/08]

ACCIDENT * From Staff Reports

Four people in a Toyota Camry were released after treatment at River Region Medical Center Saturday following a wreck on U.S. 61 South near Cooper Lighting.

The northbound Camry, driven by Phalicia Sanders, 306 Linda St., sheared off the front of a Nissan Sentra that was pulling out from a Kangaroo convenience store. The accidentat about 4:30 p.m., sent the Nissan spinning into the middle of the highway, witnesses said.

The Sentra driver, Barry Saxton, 27, of Benton, did not go to the hospital.

Sanders and her passengers, three children ages 10, 12 and 14, were treated and released from River Region, a hospital spokesman said.
