One injured, one jailed in fight over woman|[03/21/08]

Early morning gunfire over a woman landed one man in the hospital and another in jail, Vicksburg police said.
At 6:58 Terrance Jackson, 25, 250 Ironwood Drive, surrendered at the Vicksburg Police Department and was charged with shooting Charlie Queen, 25, 1201 South St. Apt. 407.
The two had fought in a parking lot near Jackson’s apartment building, which led to Jackson’s shooting Queen in the right leg.
Lt. Bobby Stewart saidd the feud was about a woman.
Queen was taken to River Region Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
Charged with aggravated assault, Jackson is being held without bond at the Vicksburg Police Department pending his initial court hearing today.
County man jailed after Coca-Cola theft
A Warren County man was arrested Thursday and charged for stealing $2.75 worth of Coca-Cola.
At 10:51 a.m., Jeramie C. Thomas, 22, 214 Rawhide Road, was picked up by sheriff’s deputies at his home and charged with burglary. According to records at the Warren County Sheriff’s Deaprtment, a burglary had occurred about two hours earlier at the Oak Ridge Community and Teen Center, 11031 Oak Ridge Road.
In addition to the stolen Coca-Cola, reports said a window to the facility had been broken. That damage was valued at $100.
Thomas was being held without bond in the Warren County Jail this morning.
Shoes, clothes, copper among missing items
Copper wire, a power sprayer, tennis shoes and a purse were reported stolen in separate city burglaries.
At 4:54 p.m. Tuesday, Vicksburg police received a report that copper wire had been stolen from an air-conditioning unit in the 900 block of National Street. The damage to the unit was valued at $1,500.
A power sprayer valued at $350 was reported stolen from the 800 block of Speed Street. The burglary was reported at 7 a.m. Thursday.
A pair of Air Jordan tennis shoes, a pair of Nike Airforce One tennis shoes and two Baby Phat outfits were reported stolen from a home in the 1300 block of China Street. Police received the report at 10:20 a.m. Thursday. The total value was listed at $475.
At 3:30 a.m. Thursday, an auto burglary in the 200 block of Melrose Avenue was reported to police. Missing was a purse valued at $50 and containing $40.
