Vicksburg man charged with theft of car on Drummond|[04/04/08]

A Vicksburg man faces auto theft charges after his arrest Thursday morning.

Robert Buck, 30, 902 Blossom Lane Apt. D-7, was arrested at 9:22 at the Vicksburg Police Station. Vicksburg Police Lt. Bobby Stewart said Buck is accused of stealing a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero Monday from the 1900 block of Drummond Street.

The vehicle was recovered, Stewart added.

Buck was being held without bond this morning pending an initial hearing today in Vicksburg Municipal Court.

Wallet, air-conditioners among missing items

Air-conditioning units, a lawn mower, tools and cash were reported stolen Thursday in three county burglaries.A residential burglary in the 1700 block of Standard Hill Road was reported to the Warren County Sheriff’s Department at 8:49 a.m. Two-window air-conditioning units valued at $200 were missing.At about 2 p.m., a Craftsman Garden Tractor lawn mower, a Hilti drill, a set of jumper cables and other tools were reported stolen from a shed in the 8600 block of U.S. 61 South. The total value was $940.A $5 wallet containing $100 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 3600 block of Ring Road. The Warren County Sheriff’s Department received the report at about 3 p.m. According to the report, the victim said the burglary occurred between March 28 and Thursday.
