Kenneth C. Lewis

ST. JOSEPH — Kenneth C. Lewis died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at his home. He was 78.

Mr. Lewis was born in Hope, Ark., and had lived in St. Joseph for a number of years. He was a retired farmer, deacon of Memorial Baptist Church of Port Arthur, Texas, and a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Rue Marie Lewis of St. Joseph; a daughter, Tonya Lewis Blanche of St. Joseph; one brother, Carter Webb of St. Joseph; two sisters, Johnnie Morrison of Hanrahan, La., and Sanda Head of West Monroe; one grandson.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph Baptist Church with Dr. Kelly Barnett officiating, and assisted by Britt Keahey. Burial will follow in the Legion Cemetery in Newellton with Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

George Price Jr.

CHICAGO — George Price Jr. died Monday, March 31, 2008. He was 62.

Mr. Price was the son of Willie Virginia and George Price Sr. He was a former member of Mount Alban M.B. Church of Vicksburg and attended the Vicksburg Public Schools.

He moved to Chicago, where he was a member and deacon at Sunrise M.B. Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Price; and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Lee Retha Hinkle Price; a son, George K. Price; two daughters, Connie Price Figueroa and Chontrale Price; three brothers, John Price of Texas and Ray Price and Walter Price, both of Vicksburg; five sisters, Virginia Richey of Tupelo, Beatrice Wilson of Dallas, Patricia Price of Vicksburg and Linda Carter and Kathryn Price, both of Florida; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
