A bank account has been established for a woman whose home was destroyed by fire last week.

The home of Sybil Thompson, 6868 U.S. 61 South, was destroyed Thursday morning after the blaze apparently started in the bedroom. Thompson and two other people were inside, and Thompson was treated and released from River Region Medical Center. The others were not injured.

The account to help Thompson financially recover is at BancorpSouth, and donations may be made at any of the bank’s locations.
