Search warrant leads to four drug arrests|[05/09/08]

A drug raid landed four arrests for the Warren County Sheriff’s Department and Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Warren County Sheriff Pace said.

At about 9 a.m. Thursday, deputies and MBN agents executed a search warrant at the home at 8687 U.S 61 South, where they arrested:

Johnnie Thompson, 25, of that address.

Carmen Jilbert, 22, 664 Oak Ridge Road.

Charles F. Brown, 41, 455 Kirkland Road.

Jeffrey Eatmon, 28, 2816 Drummond St.

All were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Also, Thompson and Eatmon were charged for being convicted felons in possession of weapons, and Thompson was found to be in violation of his federal parole.

All were being held without bond in the Warren County Jail this morning.

Seized from the home was about 1/2 ounce of crack cocaine, measuring scales, packaging materials, about $800 cash and firearms, which included a .12-gauge shotgun, a .22 rifle and a .38-caliber handgun, Pace said.

Two four-wheelers missing on Blake Drive

Two four-wheelers were missing from a county home while a DVD player and a purse were stolen in the city Thursday, reports indicated.

At 5:09 p.m., the Warren County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a 2004 Honda 4-wheeler valued at $5,000 and a 2002 Yamaha 4-wheeler valued at $4,000 missing from a home in the 300 block of Blake Drive.

About 20 minutes later, Vicksburg Police received a report of the theft of a Coby DVD player valued at $175 and a Baby Phat purse valued at $145 from a home in the 3500 block of Oak Street.
