An interrupted auto burglary landed a Vicksburg woman in jail, police said.

At 9:28 a.m., officers responded to the Smoke Break, 1215 Cherry St., to a report of an auto burglary.

Lt. Bobby Stewart said the victim was leaving the convenience store and saw a person getting out of his car.

He then noticed his Motorola Sliver cell phone was missing and contacted police.

After investigating, police arrested Denise Love, 39, 401 Pleasant Valley, at the store.
