City man arrested in shoplifting|[05/19/08]

A Vicksburg man has been arrested on his third shoplifting charge, police records show.

Andy Johnson, 46, 2811 Ken Karyl Ave., was arrested at 7:28 p.m. Friday and is accused in a shoplifting at County Market, 2102 Clay St. He was in the Warren County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

After two misdemeanor convictions, shoplifting becomes a felony.

Vehicle, tires, tools among stolen items

A vehicle, tractor tires and lawn equipment were among items reported stolen in Vicksburg over the weekend.

At 10:20 a.m. Friday, two tractor tires, a hydraulic spray rig, copper and iron were reported missing from a residence in the 600 block of Warrenton Lane. The items were valued at $4,700.

A blue and gray 1985 Chevy 1500 pickup was reported missing from the parking lot of DiamondJacks Casino, 3990 Washington St., at 1:45 p.m. Saturday.

A Homelite trimmer and Wizard push mower were reported missing at 6:24 a.m. Sunday from a shed at a home in the 1500 block of Marcus Street. The items were valued at $425.
