The Bowmar Elementary students were treated Monday to a cooking demonstration by Jacques’ Cafe head chef Jay Parmegiani, left. Helping Parmegiani is his 11-year-old son, Blake, who attends Bowmar. The program was part of the school’s USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, which provides schools with fresh produce. On the menu were sweet potato ravioli, corn cakes topped with a roasted red bell pepper sauce and s’mores.
