The summer concert season will get a jump start in early June, with a B.B. King concert in Vicksburg and Jubilee Jam in Jackson the same week.

King will play June 12 at the Vicksburg Convention Center as part of a round of dates in his home state during the month, including a June 5 show in Jackson, a June 13 performance in Tunica and his 19th annual homecoming concert in Indianola on June 6. In March, King purchased the historic Club Ebony in his hometown, at which he will also perform following his usual set at Fletcher Park.

A variety of Vicksburg bars and restaurants will host blues musicians the weekend following King’s Thursday evening show in Vicksburg.
