SidelinesThree county players among Hinds’ all-statersFour Hinds Community College baseball players – three of whom are from Warren County — earned junior college all-state honors.

Warren Central products Eric Douglas, Jonathon Ettinger and Josh Gordon joined David Mooney of Jackson on the all-state team.

Douglas, a sophomore outfielder, hit .396 with 12 doubles, four triples and five home runs. The Nicholls State University signee also drove in a team-leading 40 runs and stole nine bases.

Ettinger, a sophomore infielder, hit .388 with 14 doubles, four home runs and 27 RBIs.

The Louisiana College recruit also led the Eagles with 57 hits on the season.

Gordon, a sophomore infielder, hit .366 with a team-leading 17 doubles and six home runs

The Delta State University signee also contributed 37 RBIs and was a perfect 11-for-11 in stolen bases.

Mooney, a sophomore outfielder/pitcher, hit .343 with 12 doubles, three home runs and 27 RBIs. The University of Evansville signee was also 4-4 on the mound with a 4.06 ERA in 50 innings pitched.

Who’s HotJOSH GORDONHinds Community College standout infielder was one of three Warren County players to earn junior college all-state honors. The Delta State signee is a former Warren Central player.
