Two teens being charged as adults were in the Warren County Jail this morning after their arrests Thursday for a house burglary in the block where they lived.
Carlos Harris, 17, 214 Greenbriar Drive, and Kelvin Phillips, 18, 226 Greenbriar Drive, were arrested at 7:50 a.m. Thursday, a day after a house also in the 200 block of Greenbriar was broken into and a firearm, jewelry and cash were taken.
A 15-year-old arrested with Harris and Phillips was turned over to Warren County Youth Court.
No bond was set for the two older teens.
City man charged with sale of cocaine
A Vicksburg man was charged with selling cocaine after an undercover narcotics investigation by the Vicksburg Police Department.
Kelly Carter, 58, 124 Skyline Drive, was to make his initial court appearance today after his bond was set at $15,000 following his arrest on Thursday, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
The site of his arrest was not available.
Cash, bicycle, dog among stolen items
A car, a dog, a bike and $80 were among items stolen in four Thursday burglaries, police said.
A 1999 black Saturn was reported missing from the 1300 block of Walnut Street. The car, which was reported stolen at 4:30 p.m., was parked in the parking lot of the Relax Inn, 1313 Walnut Street.
At 6:42 p.m., a girl’s red EXPAN bicycle valued at $80 was reported missing in a residential burglary in the 100 block of Elizabeth Circle.
A 14-week-old chocolate Labrador retriever valued at $500 was reported missing from a backyard of the 3000 block of Short Cherry Street.
An auto burglary reported at 11:23 p.m. led to the 12:05 a.m. arrest of a 14-year-old juvenile. Stolen was $80 from a 2000 Geo Metro parked in the 100 block of Elms Lane. The juvenile was in the Juvenile Detention Center this morning.
