Nell Bonelli Geary
Nell Bonelli Geary, a life long resident of Vicksburg, died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at a local nursing home following a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Milford C. Bonelli and her second husband, Robert A. Geary Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Boots Bass and her husband, Phillip; two grandsons, Bryan Todd Bass and Tyron Wayne Bass, wife, Karen; and daughter, Britny. She is survived by her sister-in-law and life long best friend since high school, Edith Williamson Thompson and her daughter, Sherry and two beloved nephews, Paul and John Thompson. The family would also like to include Cyndi McKay of Vicksburg as part of Mrs. Geary’s immediate family. Her love and support was a constant source of strength and love to her.
Mrs. Geary was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Vicksburg and for almost forty years served as office manager for Neill Butane before her retirement. The family would also like to thank the staff and personnel of Heritage House for their friendship and nurturing care during the past five years.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 9 at Fisher Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. at Green Acres Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. James Hess officiating.
Fisher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy Mae Johnson
Dorothy Mae Johnson died Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was 71.
Mrs. Johnson was a retired nurse.
She is survived by two daughters, Nichelle Smith and Wanda Johnson-Martin.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel A.M.E. Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lakeview Funeral Home.
Doris Ellis McIntyre
ATLANTA – Doris Ellis McIntyre died Thursday, June 5, 2008, in Atlanta.
Mrs. McIntyre was an educator and a former resident of Vicksburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Marshall McIntyre.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley McIntyre Neal and Dawatha McIntyre Jones; one son, Donald Ellis McIntyre; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A public viewing will be from 1 until 9 p.m. Thursday, and a wake will be from 6 until 8 p.m. at Murray Brothers Funeral Home’s Cascade Chapel, 1199 Utoy Springs Road SW, Atlanta.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 551 Harwell Road NW, Atlanta. Burial will be at South View Cemetery in Atlanta.
