A Vicksburg man remained in the Warren County Jail this morning on a probation violation.

Torry Smith, 22, 2220 Grove St. Apartment B, was arrested by probation officers Wednesday afternoon at 5:50 and was charged with probation violation and a new crime. The details of the new charge were not available.

He was in jail without bond.

Stereo equipment hot in two city burglaries

A gaming console and CD player were among items missing.

At 6:12 p.m. Wednesday, a burglary was reported in the 100 block of Elizabeth Circle. Stolen were an Xbox game console valued at $200 and two Xbox games valued at $80.

An auto burglary was reported at 1:30 this morning in the 800 block of Bridge Street. Stolen was a Magnavox AM/FM CD player valued at $150 from a Mazda MPV.
