Louise Mary Kemp

Louise Mary Kemp died Friday, June 13, 2008, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 96.

Mrs. Kemp was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Henretta Gibson; her husband, I.C. Kemp; and three sisters, Lula Eastman, Lucinda Harris and Clara Martin.

Survivors include her son, Cornelius Lewis of Vicksburg; one grandchild; and other relatives.

Dillon Chisley Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Velma Louise Hayes Major

Velma Louise Hayes Major died Wednesday, June 11, 2008, in Woodbridge, Va. She was 54.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert T. Hayes Sr. and Luevesther M. Hayes.

Survivors include two daughters, Antria Anglin and Helena Major, both of Triangle, Va.; four sisters, Esther Smith of Cleveland, Miss., Dr. Wilma J. Wade of Clarksdale, Patricia Hayes Gardner of Edwards and Dawn Alycia Murray of Montgomery, Ala.; two brothers, Freddie Ford and Wilbert T. Hayes Jr., both of Vicksburg; five grandchildren; and members of the Hayes and Mace families.

Lakeview Memorial has charge of arrangements.
