Ameristar shareholders to receive cash dividend

Ameristar Casinos Inc. has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.105 per share, payable in July 2008 to stockholders on record as of June 23.

Founded in 1954 in Jackpot, Nev., and based in Las Vegas, Ameristar has been a public company since 1993. The company operates eight casinos in seven markets, including Vicksburg.

The Vicksburg property opened about 15 years ago and is in the process of a multi-phase, $100 million expansion, which will include two new restaurants, a Starbucks coffeehouse and retail space. In late May, the first phase was unveiled. It features an eight-story parking garage, live poker room and expanded gaming floor.
