Vehicle found hours after report of theft|[06/24/08]

An SUV reported stolen Monday during a robbery was recovered that afternoon.

At 4:59 p.m. Vicksburg police found a 2004 Dodge Durango that had been reported stolen Monday morning at 2:24. The robbery was reported in the 4000 block of Washington Street.

The SUV was found in the 500 block of Dabney Avenue.

No suspects had been named, police said.

60 gallons of weed killer reported stolen on 465

Items reported stolen include weed killer, a utility trailer and a pit bull.

On Saturday at 12:44 p.m., a grand larceny was reported in the 21100 block of Mississippi 465. Stolen were 60 gallons of Roundup, an air compressor and a chain saw. The total value of the stolen items is $4,850.

A 20-foot utility trailer was reported missing in the 200 block of Sawmill Drive on Monday at 3:13 p.m. It is valued at $2,500.

On Monday at 4:24 p.m. a pit bull was reported missing from the 100 block of Redhawk Road. The dog is valued at $600.

Two men injured in one-car wrecks

Two one-car wrecks left two Vicksburg men injured.

Both were treated and released from River Region Medical Center, a spokesman said.

On Sunday at 3:42 p.m. Ricky Harrigill, 48, 11815 U.S. 61 South, was involved in a one-car wreck at 12000 Mississippi 465. He ran off the side of the road, over-corrected and ended up in a ditch.

Monday at 6:34 a.m. Antonio Palmer, 20, 7355 Fisher Ferry Road, was in a one-car wreck at 5606 Fisher Ferry.
