Reginald George Harris

Services for Reginald George “Jake” Harris will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. John Henry Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Harris died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. He was 76.,br>

Mr. Harris was retired from Waterways Experiment Station. He was a veteran of the Army, serving in World War II.

He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake Sr. and Maud B. Preacely Harris; three brothers, Jake Harris Jr., Leroy Harris and Walter Harris; and one sister, Bertha H. Williams.

Survivors include one brother, Clyde Harris Sr. of Vicksburg; one sister, Josephine H. Sanders of Vicksburg; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including his caregivers LaShonda Jackson and Brenda McNeil.
