FIREFROM STAFF REPORTS

House fire reported on Bovina Cutoff

A house fire broke out around 7:45 Friday night at 7505 Bovina Cutoff Road, owned by Pat Williams.

Three Bovina Volunteer Fire Department trucks responded, and were still fighting the blaze about an hour later. Williams said she lives alone and was mowing the lawn when a neighbor alerted her to the fire at her home, which she has lived in since 1968.

She said she did not know how the fire started, but, “nobody got hurt, that’s the good news.”
