On Wednesday, the westbound outside lane of the Interstate 20 Mississippi River bridge will be closed, said the Mississippi and Louisiana departments of transportation.

Also, a width restriction of 12 feet will be in place.

The purpose of the closure is to allow crews to perform a bridge inspection. The lane will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
