Entergy Mississippi customers could see a further drop in

electricity bills come October.

The company, which serves most of Warren County, filed for a fourth-quarter fuel adjustment Friday that could bring bills down by 9 percent beginning Oct. 1, said a news release from Entergy. The action follows a mid-quarter rate adjustment proposed by the company Wednesday that is expected to reduce bills by 9.6 percent in September, about double what had been proposed the week before.

Both rate reductions must be approved by the Mississippi Public Utilities Staff and Mississippi Public Service Commission.
