Miss Ashley, Mr. Jackson to exchange vows Oct. 4

Mr. and Mrs. John Larry Ashley of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Leigh, to Donald Richard Jackson. Mr. Jackson is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Donald William Jackson of Vicksburg and Jancsi Artz Herlihy of Madison.
Miss Ashley is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Henry of Vicksburg and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Lavell Ashley of Edwards.
Mr. Jackson is the grandson of Joan Rebecca Artz and the late Dr. Waverley Conway Artz Sr. and Betty Torti Jackson and the late Ralph Donald Jackson, all of Vicksburg, and JoAnn Russell Haynes and the late Gill Joseph Haynes of Mendenhall.
The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Porters Chapel Academy, where she was a member of the Key Club and National Honor Society. She was a four-year member of the varsity basketball team, cheerleading squad and track team.
She is attending the College of Court Reporting.
Miss Ashley is a deputy clerk at the Warren County Circuit Clerk’s office.
The prospective groom is a 2002 graduate of Warren Central High School, where he was a member of FIRST robotics team and the varsity tennis team.
He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Mississippi State University.
Mr. Jackson is a computer specialist at MSU.
Vows will be exchanged in a private ceremony at 4 p.m. Oct. 4, 2008, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Doyle Murphy of Vicksburg. A reception will follow.
