The engagement of Kristen Landers Cupit to Clell Montre Allred III, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. The wedding will be at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 20, 2008, at the home of the bride’s parents, 1275 Old Port Gibson Road in Utica. A reception will follow. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Ms. Cupit is the daughter of Kenny and Kim Landers of Utica. She is the granddaughter of Willard and Mavis Landers of Utica and Jack and Jenny Brown of Vicksburg.

Mr. Allred is the son of Jim and Sarah Allred of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Clell and Hester Allred of Vicksburg and the late Charlie and Lila Brown of Sebastopol.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Vicksburg High School, where she played soccer and softball.

She attended Hinds Community College’s Nursing-Allied Health Center.

Ms. Cupit is a physical therapist assistant at Shady Lawn Nursing Home.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Porters Chapel Academy, where he played football and baseball. He was named Best Lineman and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

He attended the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training of IBEW.

Mr. Allred is a field service engineer with Siemens Power Transmission and Distribution Inc.
