Two Vicksburg residents were treated and released after a two-car collision Wednesday morning at Iowa Boulevard and U.S. 61 South.

The accident occurred at 7:40 a.m. when a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Shannon Barnett, 28, 2134 Common Circle, attempted to turn left onto Iowa Boulevard and collided with 1999 Mitsubishi Gallant driven by Tela Erbs, 23, 3295 Bovina Cutoff Road, Vicksburg police said. Neither car carried any passengers.

Police said Barnett was cited for failure to yield the right of way. The drivers were taken to River Region Medical Center.
