City woman jailed for uttering forgery|CRIME

A Vicksburg woman was arrested Wednesday at 10:14 p.m. on charges of uttering a forgery, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Earline Mays, 27, 2 Oakhill Drive, remained in jail this morning with bond set at $7,500.

Yard tools hot in city, county thefts

Various yard tools were among the items reported stolen in Vicksburg since Wednesday, according to Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart and Warren County Jail records:

• A Rigid miter saw valued at $350, a Rigid work bench valued at $200 and an Echo Weed Eater valued at $250 were reported stolen Tuesday at 9:42 p.m. in the 1400 block of Old Highway 27.

• A Stihl chain saw valued at $200, two weed trimmers valued at $150 each and two Stihl leaf blowers valued at $200 each were reported stolen this morning at 1:59 in the 600 block of Martin Luther King Drive.
