Services for Canary Bird Cooper will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Arthur Hicks Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Cooper died Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, at her home. She was 46.

She was born in Vicksburg and was a member of Faith Christian Center.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Robin Cooper; two brothers, Henry Kiner and Sylvester Leon “Pijoe” Smith; her maternal grandparents, John and Mary Kiner; her paternal grandparents, Dock Cooper and  Idell Luckett; and her father, Roosevelt Cooper Sr.

Survivors include one son, David Minor Jr. of Vicksburg; two daughters, Tameka Cooper Williams of Dallas and Raven Cooper of Vicksburg; her mother, Leola Kiner Cooper of Vicksburg; three brothers, Roosevelt Cooper Jr. of Dallas, Richard Cooper of Vicksburg and Peter Kiner of Atlanta; seven sisters, Carolyn Smith and Tangie Cooper, both of Chicago, and Tanya Cooper, Rachel Cooper, Reva Curtis, Mary White and Chandra Cooper, all of Vicksburg; seven grandchildren; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
