Additional free tickets will be distributed first-come, first-served Saturday starting at 2 p.m. for a Sunday outdoor concert by Trace Adkins at Ameristar Casino.

Adkins, who sang the national anthem before Thursday night’s final events at the Republican National Convention in Minnesota, has had more than 20 singles on the Billboard country music chart since 1996. He performs at 7 p.m. after gates open at 4 p.m.

A reported 3,000 tickets were distributed with a limit of two per person when the concert was first announced. Bess Averett, public relations director, said additional seating has been arranged for 500 more people.

The free event is being held to draw attention to the casino’s $100 million expansion, which includes new gaming areas, restaurants, parking garages and a hotel makeover.
