Sarah L. Smith died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. She was 87.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and member of Bright Morning Star M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Smith; and her parents, Charlie and Mary Thomas

Survivors include a stepson, James Smith of Palm Springs, Calif.; in-laws Wilbert and Izola Smith; and caregiver Lillian B. Lee, all of Vicksburg.
