Vicksburg man held on 2nd aggravated assault charge|CRIME

A Vicksburg man was arrested Sunday at 10:43 p.m. on charges of aggravated domestic violence after police stopped his vehicle at Clay Street and Old Highway 27 and discovered a warrant had been issued for his arrest, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
Robert Buck, 30, 302 Skyview Lane, was wanted in a report earlier in the day in which his girlfriend said he had rammed her vehicle near the Ameristar Shell, Stewart said.
Buck was being held without bond this morning pending his initial court appearance.
At the time of the arrest Buck was out on bond for an aggravated domestic assault charge, Stewart said.
In another aggravated assault, a Vicksburg man was arrested at 2:11 p.m. Friday at the hotel where he had been living, Stewart said.
Artilious Burnett, 34, Ridgeland Inn, 185 Warrenton Road, was being held without bond this morning pending his initial appearance.
Burnett’s charges stemmed from a July 15 shooting in the 1500 block of Martin Luther King Drive during which Clarence Perkins, 41, 1501 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., was shot once in his right leg, Stewart said.
Perkins was treated and released from River Region Medical Center.
City man jailed on eluding charge
A Vicksburg man was arrested Friday at 11:23 a.m. after a warrant for his arrest was issued on felony eluding charges, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
William Hodge, 26, 1983 Mississippi 3, was arrested at the Warren County Jail while being held on unrelated charges stemming from a July 4 incident, Stewart said.
Vicksburg man held as felon with weapon
A Vicksburg man was arrested on charges of weapon possession by a felon Friday at 7:41 p.m. in the 2500 block of Oak Street, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
Robert Brown, 28, 2534 Oak St., was arrested after police were summoned to the area by reports of a subject with a gun, Stewart said.
Brown remained in Issaquena County Jail this morning, with bond set at $10,000.
Two Californians jailed on pot possession charge
Two California men were arrested Sunday at 2:40 a.m. on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, according to Warren County Jail records.
Alex Rugama, 25, 4211 E. 53rd St., Maywood, and Ayala Enrique, 31, 11704 Poppy Road, Apelanton, were arrested after being pulled over near mile marker 14 on Interstate 20 East.
Both were being held without bond this morning.
Newellton man held for embezzlement
A Louisiana man was arrested Sunday at 6 p.m. at Horizon Casino, 1310 Mulberry St., on embezzlement charges, according to Warren County Jail records.
Leon Jackson, 45, 1387 Louisiana 575, Newellton, was being held without bond this morning.
It was not clear if Jackson was an employee of Horizon Casino.
Shots fired into home, car on Alcorn Drive
Shots were fired into a residence and a car Saturday morning in the 100 block of Alcorn Drive, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
No injuries were reported.
A home and a 2000 Mercury Marquis were hit, Steward said.
Three suspects sought in assault on Locust Street
Police are looking for three men wanted on charges of aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied vehicle following a 12:30 a.m. Sunday incident, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
Joshua Colon, age unknown, 812 Adams St., was treated and released from River Region Medical Center, hospital spokesman Allen Karel said, following the assault.
Colon was reportedly walking on Locust Street when he was approached by the suspects who began to assault him. During the assault Colon’s mother drove by and Colon was able to get into the vehicle, Stewart said.
Shots were fired at the vehicle, one striking it but injuring no one, as the pair drove away, Stewart said.
Tools, trailer missing in city reports
Assorted handtools were among the items reported missing in Vicksburg since Friday according to Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart.
• A 6-by-12–foot trailer valued at $900 was reported stolen Saturday at 1:51 p.m. in the 100 block of Edgewater Drive.
• Assorted handtools valued at $1,000 were reported stolen this morning at 5:35 from the old Sack and Save building, 2080 South Frontage Road.
