Luggage, old cars reported missing in city, county|CRIME & ACCIDENT

Luggage and two 1970s cars were among the items reported stolen Wednesday, said Vicksburg police crime analyst Suzan Ebeling and Warren County Jail records:

• Three travel bags containing clothes and shoes valued at $1,400 and an iPod Nano, an MP3 player, a digital camera and other electronic equipment with a combined valued of $900 were reported stolen at 6:37 a.m. from a blue Toyota Highlander in the parking lot of Horizon Casino, 1310 Mulberry St.

• A 1972 Ford Mustang valued at $4,600 and a 1975 Volkswagen Rabbit valued at $1,700, neither of which was drivable, were reported stolen at 8:45 a.m. from the 5500 block of Gibson Road.

• Jewelry and a piggy bank of unknown value were reported stolen at 11:58 a.m. in the 900 block of Howard Street.

• A purse containing a wallet with about $103 and multiple credit cards was reported stolen at 3:04 p.m. from a Ford Explorer in the parking lot of River Region Medical Center West, 1111 N. Frontage Road.

Vicksburg man held on arson charge

A Vicksburg man was arrested Wednesday on charges of arson, according to Warren County Jail records.

George Price III, 30, 2758 Old Mississippi 27, surrendered to deputies at 3:30 p.m. and was released on $5,000 bail.
