Hinds Community College moved to 2-1 on the season with a 35-21 victory over East Central in Decatur.

Less than seven minutes into the game, Steven Knight of Pearl scored on a 9-yard run for a 7-0 Hinds lead.

Hinds upped its lead to 21-7 after Aaron Woolfolk scampered 88 yards for a touchdown and a 21-7 lead, but East Central scored the next two touchdowns to knot the game at 21.

Mounger put the Eagles ahead for good on the next possession, however, as the freshman bounced off tackles and scored on a 15-yard run. Mounger capped the scoring with a 25-yard run late in the fourth quarter to seal it for the Eagles (2-1).
