Services for Sarah L. Smith will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert L. Miller Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. She was 87.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and member of Bright Morning Star M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Smith; and her parents, Charlie and Mary Thomas.

Survivors include a stepson, James Smith of Palm Springs, Calif.; her caregiver, Lillian B. Lee of Vicksburg; and other relatives, including Wilbert Smith and Izola Smith.
