Donald and Norma Piazza of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Justine “J.J.” Oleson to Daniel “Shannon” Davis. Miss Oleson is also the daughter of Howard Oleson of California. Mr. Davis is the son of Rebecca and William Rainer Jr. of Vicksburg and Don and Susie Davis of Port Gibson.

Miss Oleson is the granddaughter of the late Elmer and Jewel Pearce of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; the late Dana Blobaum of Byron, Ill., and Audrey Blobaum of Florida; Merle and Iva Oleson of Rockford, Ill.; and Charles and Joyce Piazza of Hallsville, Texas.

Mr. Davis is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Foster of Bentonia; the late D. Davis and Betty Davis of Port Gibson; and the late William Rainer Sr. and Juanita Rainer of Monroe.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Vicksburg High School and attended Hinds Community College. She is employed at The Gap.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Vicksburg High School and attended Hinds Community College. He is employed with Rives and Reynolds Lumber Co. of Natchez.

Vows will be exchanged in a candlelight ceremony at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18, 2008, at St. Michael Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the Old Southern Tea Room at The Vicksburg. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
