Services for Willie B. Jackson Sr. will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph Brisco officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Jackson died Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, N.Y. He was 70.

Mr. Jackson was born in Warren County and attended Warren County Schools. He moved to Detroit in 1956 and New York City in 1960. He retired in 2002 as custodian for the Convent of the Sacred Heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mose and Marie Jackson; and two brothers, Alonzo Jackson and Herman Jackson.

He is survived by two sons, Willie Jackson Jr. and Morris Marcellus Watson, both of New York; one daughter, Ashley Marie Jackson of New York; two brothers, Andrew Jackson and Larry Jackson, both of New York; four sisters, Willie Mae Jackson-Davis, Claretha Jackson-Butler, Annie Mae Richardson and Martha Lee Singleton, all of New York; and grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
