Vicksburg man arrested for mischief|CRIME

A Vicksburg man was arrested Thursday for a malicious mischief felony.

Wade Gaskin, 22, 2011 Floyd Ave., surrendered to Vicksburg police at headquarters after being accused of damaging a gas pump Saturday at Super Quick, 2700 Alcorn Drive.

He was in the Warren County Jail this morning awaiting his initial court appearance, Vicksburg Police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

City woman arrested after failure to show

A Vicksburg woman was arrested Thursday on a warrant after failing to show up at court.

Joanna Ross, 20, Tully Street Apt. A, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Cash, tennis shoes missing in city

Money and shoes were among the items reported stolen in Vicksburg, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

About $1,200 was reported stolen Thursday at 10:11 a.m. Thursday from Captain D’s, 3310 Pemberton Square Blvd. No arrests were made.

A pair of blue and white Nike tennis shoes valued of $80 was reported stolen at 5:44 a.m. from the 100 block of Carroll Place.

The shoes were in a 2008 Pontiac G6 and a window was broken.
