Trent and Cathy Schultz of Denham Springs, La., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Tracy Lynn, to Daniel Ellison Hood of Greenwell Springs, La. Mr. Hood is the son of Boyd and Cheryl Hood of Greenwell Springs.

Vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. Oct. 11, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Denham Springs.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. Chester and Martha Masterson and Carole Schultz and the late Harold Schultz, all of Vicksburg. She is a 1999 graduate of Denham Springs High School. She graduated in 2005 from Southeastern Louisiana University, where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.

Miss Schultz is a financial service officer at Neighbors Credit Union in Central, La.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Boyd and Betty Hood and the late Eugene and Edith Fairchild. He is a 2000 graduate of Central Private, where he was a member of the baseball team.

Mr. Hood is a Level 2 inspector with Turner Specialties.
