Items valued at nearly $7,000 were reported missing to the Warren County Sheriff’s Department Monday morning from a work site in the 2600 block of U.S. 61 North. Missing were:
• A 20-foot black steel bumper pull trailer valued at $2,500.
• Four 100-foot heavy duty extension cords valued at $200.
• A 150-foot heavy duty extension cord valued at $50.
• Four air hoses — two gray, one orange, one pink — valued at $100.
• Four flat shovels valued at $260.
• A rebar cutting machine valued at $365.
• Two contractor tripods valued at $250.
• Four sledgehammers valued at $80.
• Two Skil saws valued at $150.
• A brad nailer valued at $100.
• A pass load framing nail gun valued at $300.
• A 16-foot survey pole valued at $100.
• A porter cable 7 1/2-inch grinder valued at $175.
• A tool bag with various tools valued at $500.
• 500 concrete pins valued at $1,500.
• Air compressor valued at $200.
• A Dewalt drill valued at $100.
City woman charged with embezzlement
A Vicksburg woman was arrested at 6:42 this morning at Main and Cherry streets and charged with embezzlement, said Vicksburg police Sgt. Sandra Williams.
Lena Edwards, 29, 50 Lake Hill Drive, was in the Warren County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
Edwards was accused of the embezzlement while working at Van Guard Apartments, said Williams.
Cash, clothes, television among missing items
Money, clothes and electronics were among items reported stolen to Vicksburg police Monday.
• A purse valued at $280, four pairs of shoes valued at $179, cowboy boots valued at $39 and cologne valued at $20 were reported missing at 7:14 p.m. from a vehicle parked at Pemberton Square mall. A window had been broken.
• A 19-inch television valued at $100, 12 bed sheets valued at $255, 60 bath towels valued at $125, 10 lamps valued at $100 and 10 Purdy wooden paintbrushes valued at $300 were reported missing at 7:13 p.m. from Hillcrest Inn, 40 U.S. 80.
Horn Lake man jailed here on false pretense charges
A Horn Lake man was arrested Monday and charged with six counts of false pretense, said Warren County Jail records.
The Mississippi Gaming Commission was involved in the arrest.
Danny Box, 32, 7095 Tulane Road, Apt. 703 was in the Warren County Jail and no bond had been set.
City man charged with drug sale
A Vicksburg man was arrested at 10:08 Monday morning and charged with sale of marijuana, said Warren County Jail records.
George S. Doyle, 19, 629 U.S. 80, Apt. 19, was arrested by Vicksburg police. He was in the Warren County Jail, said Sgt. Sandra Williams, on a $5,000 bond.
