L.J. Dillon died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. He was 77.
Born in the Oak Ridge community, he was the son of the late Harvey Kato Dillon and Susie McGuffee Dillon.
Mr. Dillon retired in 1985 from the Warren County Highway Department.
Survivors include one sister, JoAnn Beavers of West Monroe; one brother, John “Kooter” Dillon of Vicksburg; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Riles Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Harry Hawkins, pastor of Bradley’s Chapel United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the service.
Pallbearers will be Otto Branan, Jimmy Standford, Byson Preddy, Ricky Ward, Albert McGuffee, James Wiltcher, George McMillin and David Baggett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Barrett, Elbert Redditt, Wayne McGuffee, Della McMillin, Dr. Lee Giffin, Billy Galey and the ICU staff at River Region Medical Center.
Memorials may be made to Bradley’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
