PORT GIBSON — Cleo Dent died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. She was 78.
Born in Claiborne County, Mrs. Dent was a retired purchasing agent for the Claiborne County Hospital. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dent was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary Trim; her husbands, Douglas Campbell and Bedford Dent; and two brothers, Percy Trim and Henry Trim.
Survivors include a son, Douglas Campbell Jr. of Vicksburg; two stepsons, Mike Dent of Lorman and Hayden Dent of Ocean Springs; three daughters, Linda Ivey of Vicksburg, Irene White of Liberty and Connie Evans of Port Gibson; two stepdaughters, Holly Burrow of Hattiesburg and Elaine Slater of Ocean Springs; a brother, Albert Trim of Port Gibson; eight grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson with Rev. James Sadler officiating. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 this evening at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Mattson, Hunter Mattson, Bryan Campbell, Brad Campbell, Everett Gatlin and James Davidson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Trim, Henry Trim Jr., Wayne Trim, Howard Way and Joe Pecanty.
