Hazel C. Fairchild

Hazel C. Fairchild died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. She was 86.
Mrs. Fairchild was born in Choctaw County, Miss., and had been a Vicksburg resident for the past 19 years. She was the daughter of the late John H. Coleman and Clara Rook Coleman.
Mrs. Fairchild was a retired secretary with the Mississippi State Hospital Commission in Louisville, Miss. She was a member of Hawkins United Methodist Church, the Crusaders Sunday school class and the DMA of Hawkins United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Gail F. Parker and her husband, Mike, of Vicksburg; one grandson, Craig Stephen Danczyk and his wife, Jennifer, of Vicksburg; one granddaughter, Kimberly Marie Danczyk of Hattiesburg; two great-grandchildren, Victoria Danczyk and Isabella Danczyk, both of Vicksburg; a sister, Margie Coleman of McCool; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Ben F. Fairchild; three sisters, Savannah C. Quinn, Laura C. Ballard and Etta Mae C. James; and two brothers, Joseph B. Coleman and John A. Coleman.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Riles Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Chris Young, pastor of Hawkins United Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation will be at the Salem United Methodist Church in McCool from 1:30 p.m. Friday until the hour of the graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at the church cemetery with the Rev. Freddy Tanksley officiating.
Pallbearers will be Leland James, Claude Quinn, J.W. Black, Forrest Loney, Rusty Bowman and Kelly Quinn.
