Wesley Ates died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. He was 52.

Mr. Ates was born in Monroe, La., and had lived in Vicksburg for most of his life. He was a truck driver, and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Zedith Ates of Vicksburg; a stepson, Rusty Clay, and a stepdaughter, Billie Clay, both of Vicksburg;  five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday from 1 until the service at the funeral home.
