PATTISON — Services for Persie Prater were at noon Wednesday at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Pattison with the Rev. Eddie Alsworth officiating. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Port Gibson.

Mr. Prater died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. He was 90.

He was born in Jefferson County to the late Henry Prater and Elnora Jones. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Prater was preceded in death by a son, Joe Prater.

He is survived by two sons, Henry Prater of Chicago and Nathaniel Prater of Meridian; a daughter, Diane Robinson of Detroit; and an aunt, cousins, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
