The Pleasant Valley M.B. Church choir celebrates Sunday at the congregation’s new building on Mississippi 27. Comprised of about 100 members, Pleasant Valley had been worshiping in a building in Redwood for 135 years — since 1873. The Rev. Clifton Spicer Jr. is pastor of the church and, on Sunday, was accompanied by the Rev. S.E. Alexander, pastor of Magnolia Heights Baptist Church in Flora, during the last church service in Redwood.
