Spratley announces plans to wed Brooks on Oct. 25

Edna L. Spratley, bride-elect of David L. Brooks, both of Vicksburg, announces their wedding plans for 2 p.m. Oct. 25, 2008, at Cool Springs M.C. Church, 385 Falk Steel Road. A reception will follow at Kings Empowerment Center. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Spratley is the daughter of Lucy S. Sims and the late George Spratley Sr. of Vicksburg.

Mr. Brooks is the son of the late Martha Brooks and the late David Johnson of Vicksburg.

The Rev. Richard Hopkins of Byram will officiate at the ceremony. The bride will be given in marriage by her brother, George Spratley Jr.

Maid of honor will be Monica Maxwell of Atlanta. Matron of honor will be Jessica J. Muhammad of Birmingham, Ala. Bridesmaids will be Lasandra Davis, Loletha Boyd and  Leticisa Bishop, all of Vicksburg; Kathy White of Clinton; and Donna Brown-Wynn of Antioch, Tenn.

Junior bridesmaid will be Kiara Johnson of Atlanta. Honorary bridesmaid will be Bridgette Wynn of Vicksburg.

Simmie Brooks and Michael Johnson, both of Vicksburg, will serve as best men. Groomsmen will be Kevin Wynn, Darius Wynn and Terry Thomas, all of Vicksburg; Michael Wynn of Antioch; and Andrew Brown of Sanford, Fla.

Ushers will be David Brown and John Brown, both of Vicksburg.
