UTICA — Violet Marjorie Brown Hubbard died Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. She was 90.

A native of Broken Arrow, Okla., Mrs. Hubbard lived in California and Arkansas before moving to Utica where she lived for over 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney James Hubbard.

Survivors include her daughter, Dixie Patti; three grandchildren, Dr. Daniel Patti, Janice Williams and Michael Patti; nine great-grandchildren, Marion, James, Michael, Karen Anne, Syndey, Weslee, Gregor, Tori and Gray; two brothers, Vernon Brown and Lynne Brown; and two sisters, Val Wood and Opal Grunhof.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Utica Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Utica Cemetery. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Utica Baptist Church.
