A look at how college football players with ties to the Vicksburg area did in games played over the weekend:

Delta State linebacker Jesse Pedyfoot (Warren Central) had one solo tackle and one assist in a 34-28 win over North Alabama on Thursday night. DSU defensive back Garret Williams (South Delta) assisted on one tackle.

Southern Illinois running back Larry Warner (WC) carried the ball 22 times for 147 yards and one touchdown in a 33-0 rout of Youngstown State on Saturday. Warner scored on a 3-yard run, and also caught two passes for 7 yards and returned one punt for 7 yards.

Mississippi State wide receiver Delmon Robinson (Vicksburg High) caught one pass for 6 yards, and returned one kickoff for 27 yards in a 34-3 loss at Tennessee. Mississippi State kicker Eric Richards (WC) kicked off twice and averaged 65.5 yards per kick.

Southern Miss safety Chico Hunter (WC) had two solo tackles and three assists in a 45-40 loss at Rice.

Mississippi College linebacker Quartez Ashmore (VHS) had a team-high 14 total tackles — seven solo and seven assists — in a 26-14 loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor. Ashmore also had one tackle for loss and a fumble recovery.

Millsaps linebacker Marcus Stokes (VHS) had one solo tackle, two assists, and one tackle for loss in a 38-17 win over Sewanee.

Louisiana-Monroe cornerback Otis Stamps (WC) had three solo tackles and two pass breakups in a 35-23 win over North Texas.
