Carley Sanford Hancock

Mr. Carley Sanford Hancock, age 77, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg with the Rev. John Slade officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 this evening at the funeral home. Burial will be at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Mr. Hancock was born in Redwood. He was a resident of Vicksburg until moving to Raymond 10 years ago. He was a retired heavy-equipment operator.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Anding Baptist Church in Yazoo County.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlyne Hancock; and a grandson, Bill Sellers.

Mr. Hancock is survived by his daughters, Patricia Graczyk of Lyons, Ill., and Dolores Sellers of Raymond; his brother, Clyde Hancock of Raymond; and sisters, Margie Diffenderfer and Faye Graham of Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Melissa Stoneking, Brad Tanksley, Tammie Brown, Michael Graczyk and Lisa Wadsworth.

Pallbearers will be Steve Martin, Jeff Martin, Earl Wayne Powell, Joey Powell, Ricky Brown and Justin Milner.
