NATCHEZ — Evandia Dunmore died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital. She was 54.

Ms. Dunmore was born in Natchez. She had been an employee of Ameristar and Mac’s Gas.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Carter.

Survivors include her son, Corey Dunmore of Vicksburg; a daughter, Annika Dunmore of Jackson; her mother, Annie Carter of Natchez; two brothers, James Dunmore of Oklahoma and Johnny Dunmore of Gulfport; a sister, Annie Dunbar of Natchez; and other relatives and friends, including Rae Evans of Jackson and Catina Freeman and Lisa Yarrington of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Zion Hill Baptist Church No. 1 with Bishop Melvin Jackson Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery. Visitation will be today from noon until 6 p.m. at Mackel and Sons Funeral Home in Natchez and from noon until the hour of the service Friday at the church.
