The Vicksburg Art Association fall art show opening reception will be Saturday at the Firehouse Gallery.

The patrons’ preview of the 59 works will be from 7 until 8 p.m. and, at 8, the show will open to the public.

The VAA’s spring show is limited to members. The fall show is open to artists from across the region.

“I think that Vicksburg is a nurturing community for artists and VAA has played a big role in that,” said Jean Blue, a member of the Vicksburg Art Association since 1970.

“Citizens are very supportive of the artists,” she said.

Show hours after Saturday will be various times through the following Saturday.
